Administrative Boundaries of Hungary (MKH)

This database contains the data of the Hungarian administrative boundaries grouped by levels of national boundary line, boundaries of regions, counties, small regions and settlements. The boundary data of different levels (of small region, county etc.) can also separately be purchased. A new product is the database of location borders, which contains the data of patches of urban and special rural (so-called hobby garden) areas. Except hobby garden area of Komárom County, the complete database is available. Administrative boundaries

    Aerial photographs

    The photos covering the whole area of Hungary were ready by summer 2005. Their technical parameters were the same as those of the photos taken in 2000.   When determining the prices of the photos of 2005, the prices of the photos prepared in 2000 were significantly decreased. The colour adjustment of the recently received digital datasets has not been completed yet, so it can be ordered against extra service for extra payment.     Satellite images

    Remote sensing is a method of collecting information when we can receive a uniform data system about the earth surface by the help of electromagnetic waves. The sensors record the radiation reflected by the objects or those of emitted by themselves. The observed objects can be situated not only on the earth surface but in the atmosphere, water bodies or in the observable layers of the soil. Satellite images are taken usually parallel in several wave-bands. Multi-band aerial photographs and satellite images are frequently used remotely sensed data.     GPS products 

    The products and services of the active GPS network developed by the governmental land surveying authorities are available at the address GPSNET.HU

    Geographical positioning can be performed relying on the operating reference stations with a two-frequency receiver during 10-30 minutes observation time with a geodetic accuracy, in a 50-55 km circle around the reference points. (With one-frequency receiver, 25-30 km circle is proposed as a maximum.) From 2005 on, 17 stations have been operating and the extension is going on. Shortly about GPS products

    Gazetteer of Hungary(FNT)

    The database of the Gazetteer contains the names of settlements, parts of settlements, landscapes, smaller units (forests, fields etc.), natural reserves,  names of the relief and hydrography, usual points listed in the map legends (ruins, lookouts, castles etc.), and certain objects of transport, altogether about 40 sorts of geographic names. The construction of the database by content is based on the settlements (except landscapes and counties); i. e. a geographic object that extends to the area of several settlements can be found in the database as many times as it affects another settlement.  The construction of the database by logic is composed of name records; among the records there is no hierarchy.     Geoid

    This database contains the data of the latest version of the HGEO2000 gravimetric and the HGGG2000 GPS-gravimetric quasi-geoid versions relating to the territory of Hungary. It is in digital form on a grid of 1.5'x1.5' (approx. 2x2 km). The HGGG2000 solution is an improved version of the gravimetric geoid, where the HGEO2000 solution was adjusted to the selected and levelled OGPSH points.     SABE 

    SABE is an acronym, abbreviated from the English expression: "Seamless Administrative Boundaries of Europe". SABE was created by MEGRIN, the organization of the European national mapping agencies from the administrative boundary data of 26 European countries supplied by the European NMAs. SABE is the first pan-European database, which contains all the levels of the national administrative hierarchies from the highest (country) to the lowest one. The lowest level in the member-countries of the European Union is the level NUTS5 as defined by the EUROSTAT (NUTS=Nomenclature des Unités Territoriales Statistiques). NUTS5 is the smallest administrative unit that still elects its own local government. SABE Data Service

    CORINE Land Cover database

    CORINE: Coordination of Information on the Environment, Land cover: a biophysical feature (observable at one time and changing yearly) of the earth surface. The aim of its creation is to provide quantitative, reliable and comparable land cover information for the EU area. Knowing the land cover and its changes, it will be easier to work out a harmonized European environment policy. This is a digital database, which keeps data grouped into five categories: 
    - artificial surfaces,
    - agricultural areas,
    - forests and nature-close areas, 
    - marshy areas,
    - water bodies

    Coordinate conversion calculations

    The program gives out the coordinates of a point characterised by EOV (National Uniform Projection) coordinates, or WGS'84 ellipsoid surface coordinates or EUREF'89 spatial orthographic coordinates in two other coordinate system. Jump to the program

    Transformation between projection systems

    This is a software developed for automatic coordinate transformation between projection systems mostly applied in the land office practice (STG, HÉR, HKR, HDR, EOV, BOV), which – in the case of corresponding identical point-sets – is suitable to perform any other transformation of plain projection too.Points to be transformed can be loaded from text-file or manually point-by-point.  Bulk data transformation can be ordered from FÖMI, also without purchasing the software. This program is accepted by the land offices; in the case of DAT transformation its application is mandatory there. Further information
