Since 29 May 2010, the name of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) has been changed to Ministry of Rural Development (MRD).  The institutional system of land administration (land offices and FÖMI - the Institute of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote Sensing) keeps on being supervised by MRD, and within that, by the Department of Land Administration and Geoinformation (MRD DLAG). The new Head of the Department is Mr Gábor István Horváth.
